One of the best ways to make money online is to identify a big event and set up a blog using relevant keywords for that event.

For example, the football world cup is being held right now in South Africa.

Everybody knows this is a huge event.  Did I hear someone say its the biggest event yet? Maybe.

You could easily set up a blog say Worldcup2010.com or Southafricaworldcup2010.com etc and starting blogging BEFORE the event.

I'd say at least one year prior to the event taking place must you set up the blog and post almost daily consistently.

So, whats the next global event?  Can you learn everything there is to know about this event?  Are relevant keywords still unclaimed?

It could very well be a money making niche!!

Ever since Copyblogger coined the Third Tribe, thousands of bloggers starting identifying with it.

It's cool to be a part of this Tribe.

Every blogger big or small wants to differentiate himself/herself from the sleazy internet salesmen and copywriters who make to make a quick buck.

So in simple terms what makes a blogger a third tribe? Here's a quick checklist!

  • You contribute value to the Tribe/community (It's way sexier to be part of a tribe than a community!)
  • Your every second post is not a review, promotion or advisement of your or third parties services or products.
  • You either promote your own services or products (like Copyblogger does) or none at all (what most bloggers do!)
  • You realise blogging is writing and copywriting (for bloggers promoting their services or products).

Yes to all > You are definitely a Third Tribe.
Yes to 3, 2, or 1 > Welcome to the rest of us! Blogging community!
No to all > Shame on you!  Start another blog!

From the how-to-blog blogs to Gen-Y blogs, internet marketing blogs to make-money-online blogs one topic every blogger loves to debate on is the WordPress v Blogger.

The debate on choosing the best platform to blog on is one valid but seriously overdone.

Blogger is free and the advice is for beginners to choose this. WordPress though free, has to be hosted and so is NOT free and the advice is for bloggers who are serious about their blogs and where they want to take.

We love talking and a great deal at that about the blogging platforms we use. I personally use both.

And I don't want to debate on the pros and cons of either.

The debate has to stop.

We have more pressing and important stuffs to talk about.

Remember Blogger or WordPress is simply a tool. A tool for you to utilize for you own needs. If it meets your requirements and get things done for you, it's a good tool.

The truth is most bloggers simply love blogging.  But, ironically, hate writing.  However, since it comes with the territory, so to speak, writing is blogging for most of us. So should it be.

If only our English teachers knew if all of us would be writing, how so joyous they would be! Right?

I mean, in my secondary school teachers would often ask us, students, to contribute to the school magazine. And, how many of us do you think actually wrote for the magazine.  NIL.  No one.

Nobody wanted to be the

Who in the world thought so many would be writing someday

Cheers!
